A. Time credits for uploads can now be given according to a users
security level. The format for this line is now:
Security Level,Time Credit Percentage;Security Level,Time Credit Percentage
If you wish to give all your users the same upload credits, then
this line MUST have the HIGHEST SECURITY LEVEL on your BBS and then
the time credit percentage. Example if the highest security level
is 50 and you wish to give 100% time credits (the time for the
file PLUS 100%) then the entry would be:
50,100
B. You can now specify the names of the batch files that RBatch looks
for when processing an uploaded file. The default is PHASE?.BAT but
if you wish to use other names, then enter the names of the batch files
here. These batch file MUST reside in the same directory as the
RBatch configuration file. If you wish to use the PHASE?.BAT filenames
then DO NOT HAVE THIS ADDITIONAL LINE IN THE CONFIGURATION FILE. Do
not even use a blank line!
--[ 1.70 Changes ]--
A. This is the parameter for the Number of Lines you allow for Extended
Descriptions and then if you wish to have the "Bama Who" type
support or not. If you choose YES then an extra line will be added
to each entry in your FMS/.DIR as follows:
Uploaded by (Username)
** Note you MUST seperate the two entries with a SEMI-COLON and
use either YES or NO for the "Bama Who" support.
The original Bama Who Support idea comes from Mike Clark at the
Alabama Connection BBS, and has been asked for in RBatch by SysOps.
B. Adding a YES or a NO and then a semi-colon will tell RBatch if
it has to create a dorinfo?.def file or not. Prior to 17.4
RBBS-PC WILL NOT CREATE a dorinfo?.def file for dooring protocols.
If you are not running 17.4 then your choice should be YES. If you
are running 17.4 then you should have NO. Make sure that you
have a SEMI-COLON between the YES or NO and the path/name of your
dorinfo?.def file.
C. Use of [NODE] in [NODE] can now be put into the configuration
Config File file wherever you have a path/filename option.
RBatch will then substitute the node number
from the RBatch Command line in place of
[NODE]. This new feature should allow the
SysOp to be able to use one configuration
file for all their nodes on the Main board
and one for each Sub-Board.
Here is an example:
-------------------
.
NO;c:\rbbs\node[node]\dorinfo[NODE].def
.
.
c:\rbbs\node[node]\callers[NODE]
.
.
c:\rbbs\xfer-[NODE].def
.

1. Process .DIZ/.SDI/.DOZ files;
Work Directory;
File name of archive command lines
The FIRST parameter on this line is asking
the SysOp if he/she wants to have the file
descriptions in a .DIZ or .SDI file to be
automatically processed (YES or NO).
2. The SECOND parameter is the Work directory
that RBatch will use to decompress the .DIZ
or .SDI file into. THIS DIRECTORY MUST EXIST
IN ORDER FOR RBATCH TO PROCESS THESE FILES!
RBatch will automatically create node
directories under this work directory.
3. The THIRD parameter is the filename that
contains the extensions and the command line
for the decompressors that you wish to support.
For more information on .DOZ files, see the
WHATISA.DOZ file included in this archive.
ARC.LST (THIRD PARAMTER)
-------
This file contains the file extensions
that you wish to process. The format
of this file is, the extension to be
processed and then the path/program
name with command line arguments. Here
is an example:
ARJ;C:\RBBS\ARJ E
ZIP;C:\PKZIP\PKUNZIP -O
^ ^
1 2
Note again the FIRST part is the extension
to process and the SECOND parameter is
the path/command line to use for that
particular extension. You do not have
to use the filename ARC.LST in your
configuration file. Just list the
path/filename that you wish to use.
If a file is uploaded and the extension
does not match any entry in this file,
the upload will not be checked for
embedded description files
(FILE_ID.DIZ or DESC.SDI).

DV - Running RBBS-PC\RBatch in DV
NET - Running RBBS-PC\Rbatch in a Network Environment
that REQUIRES running SHARE
2. BBS Name to appear on Registered Versions
50 Characters Maximum
3. Registration Number
20 Alpha-Numeric Registration Code

1. ZIP;LZH;ARJ;ZOO;ARC;COM;EXE
2. 5;C:\Rbbs\Upcat.Hlp
1. List of Multiple extesions to check for or use the word - NONE
This will allow the SysOp to specify which
extensions to check, when RBatch checks for
duplicates of uploaded files. If the SysOp only
wants the uploaded file checked just input the word
NONE here instead of all the extensions.
NOTE: ALL THE EXTENSIONS MUST BE SEPERATED BY A SEMI-COLON!!!
2. Min Security Level to Categorize;Path/Name of Upcat.Hlp File
The Minimum security level is the level
that a user must have to be able to categorize
a file that he/she uploaded. If their level
is LOWER than this value, the uploaded file
will have the default category code for FMS,
and in the .DIR system, will be posted to
the file listed on line #5 in the configuration
file.
Note that you do not have to use your UPCAT.HLP file
but can make another version of it just for RBatch
and call the file whatever you like and put the
path/filename here.
Well, that's about it for the new configuration changes in prior
to and including 1.70
